The rain stopped and the sun shone! Today, day two of sunshine, the equipment hit the fields and Tim was back to making hay.

72 more acres were swathed last nite and today, followed closely behind by the rake and the chopper. First cutting suffered a late freeze and stunted the growth. The quickest way to deal with it is to have it chopped and trucked to the feedlots, to allow second cutting to grow and thrive. The outfit moves fast across these fields in a day, and then will move on to 70 acres a mile south. It's not a productive harvest, but its quick. I also took adavantage of the weather last nite and during my lunch hour today and mowed the lawn.
